Wrought iron and 26c3 Sanmai by Brook Turner from Sydney, Australia. Full time radiographer, and part time knife maker. Brook has worked with a variety of steels and materials to create many different blade profiles in different constructions. The quality of his work would suggest that he has been forging and grinding knives full time for many years. An accomplished bladesmith and woodworker with a great eye for aesthetics.
Brook's work continues to reach new heights. A midweight gyuto forged with a slight distal taper, gently convex bevels and a very thin edge. Brook has made various gyuto profiles over the years. The recent batch I received from him have the ideal all rounder profile and dimensions. Paired with a one piece Arizona ironwood handle.
26c3 is a very fine grained steel with excellent all round performance.
