Wrought iron cladding and 52100 Sanmai by Brook Turner from Sydney, Australia. Full time radiographer, and part time knife maker. Brook has worked with a variety of steels and materials to create many different blade profiles in different constructions. The quality of his work would suggest that he has been forging and grinding knives full time for many years. An accomplished bladesmith and woodworker with a great eye for aesthetics.
A thin and nimble gyuto with gently convex bevels and a very thin edge. An all rounder profile in a slightly shorter length suitable for working in tight areas. This one is finished with a lighter tint on the cladding to highlight the especially slaggy layers in this iron.
52100 is an old favourite of Brook's and has great performance and well balanced properties.
