Kangaroo leather is known for being one of the toughest leathers available. The tail leather in particular being regarded as the strongest animal leather. With a unique texture from its tight fibre structure, and a significantly higher tensile strength than other animal leathers - it is an ideal stropping medium.
Mounted on Tasmanian Oak, elevated with a pair of feet and non-slip rubber. As with sharpening - posture and comfort are key to keeping the movement consistent, and achieving great results. This strop sits very stable and can be used comfortably on any countertop.
Leather surface is 300mm x 65mm. Height including the base is 41mm.
Stropping on leather can help to remove any microburr from sharpening as well as realign the fine teeth on the edge.
Intended for use with no additional abrasives or compounds. This strop is not for rough deburring. The edge should already be clean and sharp before using this strop.
