Hitachi White #1 Steel and soft iron cladding, forged by Satoshi Nakagawa, one of Sakai City's busiest and most well regarded blacksmiths. Nakagawa-san has honed his skills to be able to work with a wide range of steels, profiles and constructions - and has earned his well deserved reputation for forging and heat treating top quality blades.
A narrow and stiff blade with Kawakita-san's much loved hamaguri geometry - in combination with the ideal edge profile for slicing raw and cooked proteins. A classic finish done with Arato powders by this legend of Sakai's knife making industry.
Nakagawa-san's White #1 takes a super keen and bitey edge and is very responsive on whetstones. This White #1 Sujihiki replaces the previously released White #2 variant.

This suji is fantastic, nice length but very light and nimble, elegant kasumi finish, polished choil and spine, the handle is very nice, out of the box edge very refined. This would be the one and only suji that would ever need. Higly recommended!
This is the fifth Migoto Nakagawa x Kawakita knife that I have purchased, and it is just as awesome as the others. Excellent grind, profile, fit and finish, amounting to a versatile long sujihiki for raw or cooked meat, thin shavings or portioning. Highly recommended.
Love the presentation and the details of the packaging. It feels very special from the start. Love the fit and finish otb and it is scary sharp! The mono handle is very nice. I don’t have anything negative to say. It is a perfect Sujihiki!
