Goko Hamono is a small workshop based in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Led by Norihiko Yamakawa and Yoshito Yamakawa, the father and son team specialise in hand forged kitchen knives with stainless steel cladding and a White #1 core. They have a strong belief that there is a large distinction between the creation of tools and art, and this philosophy shines through their work.
A rustic nashiji finish on a cladding that is easy to care for. And a heat treat formula that promotes a greater degree of toughness on the core steel in comparison to many other White #1 knives. Goko Hamono's knives provide excellent utility, and are easy to resharpen to a very crisp edge.
