Crafted in a workshop located in Echizen City run by Kunio Masutani - this stainless Gyuto offers great utility in a kitchen of any size. A lot of thought has been put in to the heat treatment and the grind of their blades, resulting in knives which perform as though they should exist in a significantly higher price bracket. The VG-1 core easily takes a keen edge, and along with stainless cladding this Gyuto requires very little maintenance. We opted for the version without the welded bolster as we felt that these were very well balanced in hand. Although it has a very thin grind, the blade retains good stiffness, and the subtle nashiji finish helps prevent certain ingredients from sticking to the blade. Comfortable and nimble in use, these knives are incredibly affordable and suitable for any cook.
