One of the most revered makers of Sanjo, Niigata, Japan; Tsukasa Hinoura's coveted work consists predominantly of kitchen and hunting knives. With a deep understanding of forging and metallurgy, his creations are among the most recognisable knives in the world. This Sujihiki features his signature pattern welded twist, a technically challenging build resulting in a unique style . Favouring White #2 as the core steel for his kitchen knives, this blade was painstakingly hand sharpened on whetstones - forming very even bevels with a slight convex geometry and a wonderful polish showcasing the beauty of his forging technique. This knife is shipped with a Paulownia box.
